Some of you will be closely familiar with Actress Bridget Ogundipe, from her work on the television show American Gods and her support with AEARA in the Atlantic region. What is not widely known is her brother, Victor Ogundipe, 41, was brutally murdered while in Police custody, and died in hospital on January 26, 2017, after being transferred from the Toronto South Detention Centre. Bridget has asked that we share the link to a police inquest regarding his death.
Victor suffered from Bipolar and experienced an episode resulting in his incarceration. He should have been institutionalized as per previous episodes. Unfortunately, Victor was murdered in his jail cell shortly after his imprisonment.
