Some of you will be closely familiar with Actress Bridget Ogundipe, from her work on the television show American Gods and her support with AEARA in the Atlantic region. What is not widely known is her brother, Victor Ogundipe, 41, was brutally murdered while in Police custody, and died in hospital on January 26, 2017, after being transferred from the Toronto South Detention Centre. Bridget has asked that we share the link to a police inquest regarding his death.
Victor suffered from Bipolar and experienced an episode resulting in his incarceration. He should have been institutionalized as per previous episodes. Unfortunately, Victor was murdered in his jail cell shortly after his imprisonment. Great feat and worthwhile JUSTICE awareness campaign by AEARA as We (ALMS Global Community Systems) never heard this saddened story before now. Though, the condolences may be belated, but our sympathetic heavy hearts at this traumatic tragedy goes to the entire OGUNDIPE family especially Actress Bridget Ogundipe while praying for Victor Ogundipe’ soul for heavenly eternal somnolence.
