AEARA, in collaboration with several delivery partners, developed a Youth Outreach Program designed to address the systemic inequalities faced by Black (of African, Caribbean and European descent), Indigenous and racialized youth and their families.
The objectives of the program are to:
– Assess and identify opportunities, build awareness and develop programs/materials that provide youth resilience and enhance key decision-making skills through positive experiences and outcomes
– Reduce identified risk factors and increase protective factors by providing youth with the resources and tools address the systemic inequalities that criminalize Black, Indigenous and racialized community members
The Youth Outreach Program is supported by many community organizations and Federal departments, such as Public Safety Canada.
