Canada’s Lack Of Diversity

A CTV story about Canada’s lack of diversity on corporate boards and new initiatives to diversify and make them transparent.

Tennis superstar Serena Williams’s husband Alexis Ohanian recently shared a video to request the company he co-founded to replace his position on the board with a black individual. Reddit has now replaced him with its First Black Board Member, Michael Seibel.

This is happening at a time when the death of George Floyd by a cop has sparked protests in America, Canada, the UK, and several other countries, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

These issues have brought more discussions and scrutiny into diversity and inclusion in all sectors of life. In this segment on CTV National News, we had the opportunity to highlight areas of concern in the corporate boardroom of top companies in Canada.

Our Executive Director, Paul Ade contributed to the media news highlight.                                                         – www.DiversityAdvancement.com
